Hi, I’m Dave and I’m a digital media creator.

I became interested with video filming and editing skateboarding videos in high school. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Film & Video, focusing in post-production. Over the years i have been a part of creating Music shows and artist profile documentaries, street guerilla marketing videos and advertising for local businesses. Most recently I have been working in advertising on a variety of clients ranging from health care to candy companies. My roles in those projects ranged from producer and videographer through editing and motion graphics.

The tools I use are Final Cut Studio, After Effects, Shake, Premiere, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver. I have also had experience working with AVID, Media 100, and TriCaster. I have also started to teach myself Cinema4D and am looking to expand with that in the future.

I have also built up experience in interactive media helping to integrate video and motion.  I know HTML and CSS and have experience working with Wordpress. I have also used flash for animation and to build websites.

I spent time working at the Apple Store as a Mac Genius and trainer, presenting workshops and one on one training with Final Cut Studio. I became certified in HelpDesk Troubleshooting and hardware repair. I have since moved on to use my skills to design and deploy 2 high school video editing multi-media labs.  As well as troubleshoot and upgrade large groups of computers in a creative environment.
