Hi, I’m Dave

I got started with video through skateboard in high school. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Film & Video, focusing in post-production. I have since created video for commercials, live music shows, documentaries, guerilla marketing, advertising, corporate, and B2B. My roles included editing and motion graphics through producer and videographer.

I have experience working with web and interactive, integrating video and motion.  I’ve built sites using HTML/ CSS and WordPress, including this site. I’m familiar using flash for animation as well as basic ActionScript knowledge. Recently I have started to explore motion and animation using HTML5.

I spent time working at the Apple Store as a Mac Genius and trainer, presenting workshops and one on one training with Final Cut Studio. I became certified in HelpDesk Troubleshooting and hardware repair. I have since moved on to use my skills to design and deploy 2 high school video editing multi-media labs.  As well as troubleshoot and upgrade large groups of computers in an agency environment.

The tools I use are Final Cut Studio, After Effects, Shake, Premiere, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver. I have also had experience working with AVID, Media 100, and TriCaster, as well as some 3D experience using Cinema4D.
